John Schneider is probably best known for his role as Bo Duke in the popular
CBS show "The Dukes of Hazzard" (1978-1985). His other television credits
include "Touched by an Angel," "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," and "Diagnosis
Murder." John has also been in many TV movies and specials, such as the
Family Channel's "Night of the Twisters," ABC's "Legend of the Ruby Silver,"
and of course, "The Raccoons and the Lost Star," where he provided the voice
of Dan, the Evergreen Forest's ranger and Tommy and Julie's father.
John has also been active over the years in country music, having released
eleven albums. Of course, he contributed to Lost Star's soundtrack with
"Calling You" and "Shining," along with doing "One More Night" and "Friends"
with co-star Dottie West. John also founded the Children's Miracle Network
in 1982, and began FaithWorks Productions in 1995, which his website
describes as "a company dedicated to the distribution and production of
quality family entertainment."
Says John of his experience with the Raccoons: "I really enjoyed working with
Dottie, and it feels good to now be a father and know that I was part of a
truly wonderful piece of family entertainment!"
